Lucky Pup is a new concept in dog care. A welcomed alternative to boarding kennels and pet sitting. A boarding kennel may not be the best place for your dog, you may not want to ask for help from your family and friends again, or have someone come to your home to watch or check on your dogs.
The next time you travel for business or for pleasure your dog can be cared for by one of our host families. Or, if you are at work more than home during the week, you may want to consider our day care program. Everything is designed to eliminate stress for you and your dog.
Our mission is to give you complete peace of mind when you are away from home.
First, we visit you and your dog and find out your dog's energy level, temperament, likes and dislikes, feeding and medical needs. Then we select a host family that mirrors your dog's needs and habits as closely as possible, so your dog will have a very secure and enjoyable experience.

Hi, my name is Daina Berlin, and I’m the owner of Lucky Pup. I wanted to let you know why I started Lucky Pup – An alternative to traditional boarding kennels or pet sitting in your home.
I have a 12 year old golden retriever named Jag and a 17 year old son
named Curran. We’ve had Jag since Curran was 5 years old. Jag has been
a huge part of our life and he is a very important part of our family.
Over the years, when we went out of town I would leave Jag with family
or friends. And then, we had an opportunity to go to Europe and I
asked for help with Jag, once again. But this time everyone reluctantly
said “NO” for one reason or another. So, for the first time in my life
I was faced with using a boarding kennel, or canceling the trip.
Luckily, at the last minute, a good friend from out of town offered to
help.
I was able to leave knowing that Jag was staying with a family who loves dogs and that he would get lots of love and attention while I was gone. It was such a huge relief. While I was in Europe my dog care dilemma came up in conversation and I was interested to learn that there were several areas in Europe that have addressed and solved this very problem in a unique way. Host families care for your dog, in their home, while you are away.
